While in law school Alona Sharon interned at the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office, which allowed her the opportunity to see the inner workings of the ‘other side.’ While at the office she was responsible for preparing cases for preliminary examinations, preparing and interviewing witnesses, conducting examinations and preparing legal arguments for the court.
Between her second and third year of law school Alona Sharon worked for the Michigan Court of Appeals for Judge Jessica Cooper (now Oakland County Prosecutor Jessica Cooper). While at the court Ms. Sharon was responsible for conducting legal research relative to cases that were before the Judge, assisted in writing opinions and accompanied the Judge to oral arguments. This job also allowed Ms. Sharon to learn the inner workings of the court, the procedure and how to persuasively argue before appellate courts.
After passing the Michigan State Bar, Ms. Sharon began her career as a solo practitioner. Her career began as a ghost writer for several prominent lawyers. In other words, many well known lawyers that you commonly see on the news trusted Ms. Sharon to research and write their legal motions and briefs for their clients. This allowed Ms. Sharon to work with some of the best legal minds, learn from them while also building a smaller, more intimate legal practice where the focus is on the client.
Now these same lawyers who previously hired Ms. Sharon to write for them, send their clients to the Law Office of Alona Sharon for their criminal appeal needs.
